Dimension & Appearance Inspection

To ensure every tile meets strict dimensional and visual standards, JBN Ceramics utilizes a range of inspection equipment and measurement instruments. Tile dimensions, thickness, squareness, and surface quality are carefully checked throughout the production process. Advanced flatness testing devices and color inspection systems help verify uniformity, while precision tools such as vernier calipers and measuring instruments ensure accurate sizing and consistency. Surface flatness and roughness evaluations further guarantee excellent installation performance and reliable slip-resistance characteristics.

Dimension and Flatness Integrated Inspection Equipment: This automated system combines multiple functions to perform comprehensive inspections with high efficiency and precision. For instance, the device described in Patent CN213275383U integrates modules including dimensional detectors, flatness scanners, color difference analyzers, and defect detectors. Companies like Angshi have also developed similar tile defect inspection machines, flatness testers, and color grading inspection systems that enable rapid surface defect identification, flatness measurement, and automated quality classification.

Basic measuring tools: Vernier caliper and steel ruler are used for measuring length, width, and thickness; protractor is used for measuring right angles.

Specialized instruments: The surface flatness tester can accurately measure the overall flatness of brick surfaces. The surface roughness tester (also known as a profile meter) enables quantitative assessment of brick surface roughness, providing critical reference value for slip resistance evaluation.

Physical & Mechanical Performance Testing

JBN Ceramics conducts comprehensive physical and mechanical testing to evaluate the strength and durability of our products. Specialized testing equipment is used to assess:

Mechanical strength testing: A universal material testing machine or specialized flexural testing machine is used to evaluate the flexural strength and fracture modulus of tiles through three-point or four-point bending tests. An impact testing machine is employed to assess the tiles' resistance to sudden impacts.

Surface hardness and wear resistance: The wear tester evaluates the surface wear resistance grade by subjecting the brick surface to friction with abrasives (such as steel balls or corundum). A microhardness tester can measure the microhardness of ceramic tile glazes or bodies.

Other physical properties: The water absorption rate testing device is used to evaluate the density and stain resistance potential of tiles. The freeze-thaw resistance test chamber simulates repeated freeze-thaw cycles to assess the durability of tiles in cold regions.

Chemical and Safety Performance Testing Equipment

To ensure our tiles meet international safety standards and chemical resistance requirements, our laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive range of chemical and safety performance testing instruments. These devices enable us to strictly control product quality from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring compliance with ISO 13006, ASTM C1407, EN 14411, and GB/T 4100 standards.

Non-Destructive Testing & Material Analysis

To further enhance product reliability, JBN Ceramics employs advanced non-destructive testing methods to detect potential internal defects without damaging the tiles. Technologies such as ultrasonic inspection and thermal analysis help identify hidden cracks, pores, or structural inconsistencies.

In addition, microscopic material analysis enables our technical team to study tile microstructures and surface morphology in detail. This scientific approach helps optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and maintain long-term consistency across all product lines.
